The induction plasma system can be equipped with a reaction chamber with observation windows designed for diagnostics (iCCD, HS imaging, Optical Emission Spectroscopy, Laser Spectroscopy).

Prof. Vittorio Colombo
He was born in Italy in 1961. He received the Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Energetics from the Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 1986 and 1990, respectively.
From 1990 to 1992, he was with the Nuclear Reactor Physics Group, Politecnico di Torino, as a Researcher. Since 1992, he has been with the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bologna, Italy, and, since 2000, he has been a Full Professor of industrial applications of plasmas with the Department of Mechanical Engineering. From 2010 is also member of Interdepartmental Center for Industrial Research – Advanced Materials for Mechanical Design of University of Bologna.
Matteo Gherardi
He was born in Italy in 1985. He received the Master’s degree in 2009 in Energy Engineering from of University of Bologna and then got the Ph. D. in 2013 from the Department of Industrial Engineering in the field of Industrial Applications of Plasmas. His main research interests are plasma assisted nano-particle synthesis and non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure plasma sources development and applications. From 2018 he is senior assistant professor at the University of Bologna.
Marco Boselli
He was born in Italy in 1983. He received the Master’s degree in 2009 in Energy Engineering from the University of Bologna and then got the Ph. D. in 2015 from the Department of Industrial Engineering in the field of Industrial Applications of Plasmas. Between 2011 and 2018 he has been researcher on modelling and diagnostics on metal cutting and welding plasma processes at the Interdepartmental Center for Industrial Research – Advanced Materials for Mechanical Design of University of Bologna. From 2015 and 2018 he has been junior assistant professor at the University of Bologna on nanoparticle synthesis by thermal plasmas. From 2018 he is post-doc researcher at the University of Bologna.
Fabio Rotundo
He was born in Italy in 1983. He received the Master’s degree in 2008 in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bologna and then got the Ph. D. in 2012 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DIEM) of the University of Bologna in the field of Mechanics of Materials and Technological Processes. From 2011 to 2014 he has been a research fellow on metal matrix composites and industrial application of plasmas at the Interdepartmental Center for Industrial Research – Advanced Materials for Mechanical Design of University of Bologna.
Daniela Barbieri
She was born in Medicina (BO) 1985. She received the Bachelor degree in Biotechnologies in 2007 from the University of Bologna and, after an internship period at the Centro de Biologia Molecular “Severo Ochoa”, Universidad Autonoma, Madrid, Spain (6 months), she received the Master degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies in 2009. In 2013, she also obtained the Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences (project: “Medical Biotechnologies”) from the University of Bologna, with a thesis on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and related diseases prepared at the Unit of Microbiology, S.Orsola-Malpighi University Hospital, Bologna. She has also attended for 6 months (June-December 2012) the laboratory directed by Prof. Dr. Frank Rösl at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, Germany, working on HPV. She is teacher assistant for the laboratory of Medical Microbiology for the Bachelor degree in Biotechnologies at the University of Bologna (Supervisor: Prof. Giorgio Gallinella). In 2014, she attended the post-graduate course in Biostatistics at the University of Bologna (Master level II)

Romolo Laurita
He was born in Italy in 1986. He received the Master’s degrees in 2011 in Energy Engineering at University of Bologna and then got the Ph. D. in 2015 from the Department of Industrial Engineering in the field of Industrial Applications of Plasmas. His main research interests are design and characterization of atmospheric pressure non-equilibrium plasma sources for biomedical applications. From 2015 he is post-doc researcher at the University of Bologna.
Anna Liguori
She was born in Italy in 1989. She received the Master’s degrees in 2012 in Energy Engineering from of University of Bologna and then got the Ph. D. in 2016 from the Department of Industrial Engineering in the field of Industrial Applications of Plasmas. Her main research interests are design of atmospheric pressure non-equilibrium plasma sources, material modification (activation, thin film deposition) and characterization. From 2016 to 2019 she has been post-doc researcher at the University of Bologna. From 2019 she is post-doc researcher at the Department of Chemistry – University of Bologna.
Augusto Stancampiano
He was born in Italy in 1987. He received Master’s degree in 2012 in Energy Engineering from the University of Bologna and then got the Ph. D. in 2016 from the Department of Industrial Engineering in the field of Industrial Applications of Plasmas. His main research interests are design and characterization of atmospheric pressure non-equilibrium plasma sources, plasma assisted decontamination and plasma interaction with liquids. From 2018 he is post-doc researcher at the University of Orleans.
